Planes – The 2013 Animated Movie

Planes Movie PosterI don’t know about you, but I love animated flicks and cartons… everything from Heavy Metal to Jimmy Neutron to Betty Boop to Scooby Scoobert Doo.

One of my favorites of the past 10 years has to be Cars (2006). I shed a tear every time Lightning McQueen sacrifices his big win to help push the old-timer “Mister The King” across the finish line – it’s Richard Petty’s 1970 Superbird… along with the 1969 Daytona, one of my top five favorite cars.

So… along comes something that all you aviation biffs should care about: Planes.

Out August 9, 2013, Disney’s Planes is set to take-off into the world of Cars. It features the voice talents of Val Kilmer, Teri Hatcher, Brad Garrett, John Cleese, Dane Cook, Anthony Edwards, Stacy Keach, Sinbad, and Cederic The Entertainer

Planes is written by Jeffrey M. Howard and directed by Klay Hall.

Having a movie with the beautiful Teri Hatcher in it and not being able to see her sucks. It’s like casting Jesica Alba as the Invisible Girl in two crappy Fantastic Four movies. Nobody saw her.

Here’s a trailer of the Planes movie:

What’s next? Tanks? You’re welcome for the idea.

Andrew was born in London, UK, raised in Toronto, Canada, and cavorted in Ohtawara, Japan for three years. He is married, has a son and a cat. He has over 35,000 comic books and a plethora of pioneer aviation-related tobacco and sports cards and likes to build LEGO dioramas. Along with writing for a monthly industrial magazine, he also writes comic books and hates writing in the 3rd person. He also hates having to write this crap that no one will ever read. Along with the daily Japan - It's A Wonderful Rife blog, when he feels the hate, will also write another blog entitled: You Know What I Hate? He also works on his Pioneers Of Aviation - a cool blog on early fliers. He also wants to do more writing - for money, though. Help him out so he can stop talking in the 3rd person.
