Alitas Cigarette Pack – 2006

Alitas Cigarette softpack Pack, 2006 BAT Mexico.

Sometimes, I just can’t find any information on what I am looking for.

Case in point, this very cool pack of Alitas cigarettes , which looks far older than it is.

This softpack is from Mexico – 2006, in fact, and holds 15 cigarettes, and was produced by BAT Mexico (British American Tobacco Mexico), a company that has been doing business in Mexico for 75 years now.

My confusion is to WHY they would make a cigarette pack with such an old image of a bi-plane on it in 2006.

If anyone has any information on this image, I would appreciate a heads-up.
